About us
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
What is our role?
The Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team provide a comprehensive communications service to enable and support the drive to create and maintain sustainable improvements in the quality and safety of health and social care services in Ireland.
What do we do?
We deliver the following functions:
- Press and media relations through regular press briefings, conducting media campaigns, press conferences and interviews and issuing press releases.
- Stakeholder engagement and consultation across all our areas of responsibility to ensure that all relevant groups, organisations, individuals and other audiences are informed and consulted on our work.
- Public and parliamentary affairs to fulfil our statutory function to ensure that the Authority remains accountable to Government and the Houses of the Oireachtas.
- Management of our online channels including our website, intranet, social networking and social media sites such as our Twitter and Facebook pages. Our multimedia strategy ensures best practice in this area to help communicate the work of the Authority.
- Internal communications we ensure that our staff are informed and engaged on the work of the Authority.
- Managing events including conferences, consultation events and advisory group meetings.
- Managing and publishing the Authority’s publications.
