From the Airport
Bus Éireann provides frequent direct coach services between Cork Airport and Parnell Place in the city centre.

Via bus
The following buses serve Mahon. See all timetables on www.buseireann.ie

  • Grand Parade: 10
  • South Mall: 10a (outside the Imperial Hotel)
  • Parnell Place: 2 (near the main bus station) Some routes on the number 2 bus go into Mahon Industrial Estate.

The following bus serves Douglas Village, Turner’s Cross, The Lough and Bishopstown: Ringmahon Road:

  • 19 (5 minutes from the City Gate complex)

Via car

From Limerick N20
On entering Cork City at Blackpool, turn left onto the North Ring road and follow directions for Dublin N8, and South Ring Road N25. Follow directions for N25. Go through the Jack Lynch Tunnel. When you exit the tunnel, take the first exit for Mahon and Blackrock.Proceed to the lights, take a right (over the bridge) through 3 sets of traffi c lights, then take the second right after Mahon Point Shopping Centre and finally turn right into City Gate, there is a sign outside building 3 facing the road.

From the South, Cork Airport N27
(Carrigaline N28 Bandon N71): Proceed to the N25 South Ring Road and follow directions for the South Ring – East Link. Take the exit for Mahon and Blackrock. See previous point for directions.

From Cork City Centre
Take the South Link Road N27 (signposted Cork Airport). At Kinsale Road roundabout, take the left filter lane onto the South Ring Road (signposted South Ring East N25). From here, follow directions from the South / Cork Airport. See previous directions on how to get to the City Gate office.

From the East (Waterford and Wexford N25)
As you approach Cork City, take the first exit at the Dunkettle roundabout to enter the Jack Lynch Tunnel. See directions above on how to get to the City Gate office.

Directions to our Dublin Office

By walking or cycling or by public accessible transport (such as buses and Luas): Our office is located in George’s Court, George’s Lane, Dublin 7. A convenient way to our office is to use the Luas line as a guide. The Smithfield Luas Stop is located six minutes walk away.

By Luas: When you get off at the Smithfield stop, travel up Bow Street, adjacent to Smithfield Market, until you reach North King Street. Take a left, and then turn right at the traffic lights. Continue straight on George’s Lane. The Authority’s office is the second entrance door on the right, distinguishable by the Authority’s name and logo on the glass front door. By car: If you are coming by car from a southerly direction, drive down North King Street. Turn right at junction with Queen Street onto George’s Lane. From a northerly direction, take North Brunswick Street until the junction with George’s Lane and Queen Street. Dropping off visitors coming by car directly to outside the main entrance of the office is feasible. There are a limited number of fully accessible underground car parking spaces available in the building complex, please contact Reception on telephone (01) 804 7400 to prebook a space. On-street accessible parking is available in the vicinity, including on Queen Street, North Brunswick Street, Smithfield Square and Red Cow Lane. Smithfield is located in Dublin City Council’s parking red zone and it currently costs approximately E2.20 per hour to park (Information is correct as of 30th January 2009). By Bus:

Bus Éireann:
There is an extensive service to and from outside the greater Dublin area. The majority of routes arrive at, and depart from, Busaras (central bus station) which is located at Store Street in Dublin 1. If you want to take a Luas to Smithfield from Busaras, the fare for a single ticket is E1.60 (information is correct as of 30th January 2009). A Luas stop is located beside Smithfield Square.

Dublin Bus:
There are a number of bus routes to and from the city centre and the suburbs within proximity of the office. To check which route best suits your needs and requirements please log onto www.dublinbus.ie or alternatively phone Dublin Bus on 01-8734222. The following buses stop near our building:

From Heuston Station to our Dublin regional office:

By Bus
A bus leaves Heuston Station to the city centre every 10 minutes. Get off the bus at Ellis Quays. Keep the river Liffey to your right as far as the furniture shop, Bargaintown, on Queen Street. Turn left up Queen Street and travel through two sets of traffic lights and on the third set, cross over to George’s Lane. The office is the second entrance door on the right.

By Luas
Smithfield is two stops from Heuston Station on the red line.

By walking
Exit Heuston station onto St John Road West and turn left onto Wolfe Tone Quay. Continue along the quays, keeping the river Liffey to your right as far as Bargaintown furniture shop on Queen Street. Turn left up Queen Street and travel through two sets of traffic lights and on the third set, cross over to George’s Lane. The office is the second door on the right.

From Connolly Station to our office:

By Luas
Take the red line in the direction of Heuston Station, as far as the Smithfield stop.

By walking or accessibility transport
Connolly Station is approximately a 30 minute walk from the office. However, for your convenience we would recommend that you avail of the connecting Luas getting off at the Smithfield stop which takes approximately six minutes. Our office is located a few minutes from this stop.

By DART
The closest station to our office is Connolly Station. For DART services and accessibility information go to: http://www.dart.ie. Take the connecting Luas to Smithfield.

From Dublin Airport to our office:
If you arrive at Dublin airport, you have a few options. You can take the green Air Link 748 bus to Heuston Station which is two stops from Smithfield Luas stop. Alternatively can take the blue Aircoach or green Airlink 747 buses from the airport directly to O’Connell Street. The journey from the airport should take approximately 25-45 minutes outside of rush hour and will cost approximately €7 one way and €12 return. From O’Connell Street, walk to Abbey street Luas stop, then take the Luas to the Smithfield stop. Travel up Bow Street, until King Street North, take a left and then turn right onto George’s Lane. The office is the second door on the right.
