The Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 helps to inform the public about who is lobbying, and what they are lobbying about.

All public bodies must publish a list of designated public officials.

As outlined in the legislation, the following positions in HIQA are Designated Public Officials (DPOs):

• Chief Executive
• Chief Inspector of Social Services
• Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Health Technology Assessment
• Director of Health Information and Standards
• Chief Operating Officer
• Chief Information Officer
• Director of Healthcare Regulation
• Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement.
