The Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 helps to inform the public about who is lobbying, and what they are lobbying about.
All public bodies must publish a list of designated public officials.
As outlined in the legislation, the following positions in HIQA are Designated Public Officials (DPOs):
- Chief Executive
- Chief Inspector of Social Services
- Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Health Technology Assessment
- Director of Health Information and Standards
- Chief Operating Officer
- Chief Information Officer
- Director of Healthcare Regulation
- Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement.
