Registration Conditions


Condition 1
Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan dated 14/07/2020. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector.
Condition 2
Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time.
Condition 3
The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated is in the designated centre is 66 reducing to 58 on achieving compliance with conditions 5 and 6.
Condition 4
Notwithstanding conditions 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 by no later than the 31st December 2021 the designated centre will be renovated and reconfigured as required to achieve compliance with the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) (Amendment) Regulations 2016, Statutory Instrument No. 293/2016 and the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland 2016.
Condition 5
In order to achieve compliance with regulations 9, 12, and 17 of the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) Regulations 2013, Statutory Instrument No. 415/2013, the number of residents accommodated in the designated centre will be as follows:

(i) The four bedrooms in the Oaks unit which currently accommodate 5 residents shall be reduced to four bedded rooms (a reduction of 1 resident per room and a total reduction of 4 residents in the Oaks Unit)
(ii) The four bedrooms in the Cedars unit which currently accommodate 5 residents shall be reduced to four bedded rooms (a reduction of 1 resident per room and a total reduction of 4 residents in the Cedars Unit

As the occupancy of each room is reduced to 4 people, that room must be reconfigured to ensure that the living space of each of the remaining four residents is increased.
Condition 6
Subject to Condition 4, no new residents may be admitted to the designated centre, save for admissions to the Rowan Unit for residents under 66 years only, until conditions 3 and 5 are complied with
