You are invited to subscribe to our SMS News Alerts so that you can get the Authority's latest news sent directly to your mobile phone. This new messaging system is part of the Authority’s work to ensure that all communications from HIQA is consistent, transparent, public friendly and timely.

About the service

  • The messages are free to receive 
  • It is an opt-in service, you can opt-out at any time
  • You will receive no more that 1 - 2 alerts per month
  • It is fully compliant with data protection regulations.

How can I subscribe?

Text HIQA to 51444 to subscribe. You will then receive an automated response thanking you for subscribing.  This will include opt-out details. 

How can I unsubscribe?

Go to or text HIQA to 51444.

Does it cost me anything?

Messages received are free.  Messages you send to the service (e.g. subscribe or unsubscribe requests) are charged at the standard text rate provided by your supplier. Alternatively you can unsubscribe at no cost by going to and filling in the online form.
