This report represents a collaborative analysis between HIQA and the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) in fulfilment of recommendation 6.7 of the COVID-19 Nursing Homes Expert Panel report (published August 2020): 

"HPSC, HSE and HIQA should produce a detailed epidemiological analysis comparing both risk and protection factors associated with having an outbreak or not at all in HIQA regulated facilities"

This analysis includes data on the third wave of COVID-19 in Ireland, updating the previously published analysis (see below).
