This report sets out the overall findings of HIQA’s inspections and regulation of children’s services in 2020, including child protection and welfare services, foster care services, children’s residential services, special care units and Oberstown Children Detention Campus.
It gives an account of what children have described as their lived experiences of these services, and provides an insight into the factors which have influenced their quality and safety.
