Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan dated 08/04/2020. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector.
Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time.
The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is 49 reducing to 45 on achieving compliance with condition 6
The physical environment in the designated centre must be reconfigured to ensure compliance with S.I.293 of 2016 which requires that each bedroom shall have an area of not less that 7.4 sq mts. of floor space for each resident on and from 1 January 2022. The reconfiguration must be complete by 1 January 2022
In order to achieve compliance with Regulation 28 of the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) Regulations 2013 the fire safety issues identified in all parts of the registered designated center including the two storey adjoining apartment block located at the rear of the designated centre and the single story body of the designated centre.
The residents accommodated in the adjoining apartment block located at the rear of the designated centre (apartments 1 – 4) shall be transferred and accommodated elsewhere in the designated centre immediately upon a vacancy arising elsewhere in the designated centre. On vacating the adjoining apartment block located at the rear of the designated centre (apartments 1 – 8), this part of the building will cease to be part of the registered designated center.
The registered provider shall ensure that no new resident is admitted to the designated centre until the residents currently living in apartments 1 - 4 are transferred to alternative accommodation within the designated center (excluding apartments 1- 8) and the adjoining apartment block located at the rear of the designated center is vacated, and the number of residents living in the center is reduced to 44.
