This overview report summarises the key findings from HIQA’s monitoring of healthcare services in Ireland over the years 2021-2023. In particular, this report builds on the early observations and findings in HIQA inspections of emergency departments. Key findings are also outlined from HIQA’s programme of inspection of services carrying out medical exposure to ionising radiation, in addition to an overview of HIQA’s expanding remit.
